Dysport Made From Same Active Ingredient as Botox
The FDA has approved Dysport to treat forehead wrinkles and frown lines, making it only the second drug to be approved by the agency as a wrinkle treatment.
Dysport (formerly known as Reloxin) is made from the same active ingredient as Botox (made by Allergan), Clostridium botulinim toxin type A. Botulinum toxins temporarily reduce the appearance of wrinkles by restricting the muscle actions that cause creasing and frown lines. Read

Derived from botulinum toxin, Dysport works wonders
A new wrinkle remover, like Botox derived from botulinum toxin, has been approved in the United States, the Bloomberg news service reported Thursday.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration sanctioned Dysport (abobotulinumtoxinA) for both cosmetic and therapeutic use, Bloomberg said, citing a news release from product makers Ipsen SA and Medicis Pharmaceutical Corp.

The anti-wrinkle drug recently gained US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval. According to its package insert, the product works faster than Botox and it also lasts longer. And because it’s a new product, most physicians offer it at a discounted price.
